Global oncology and vascular access experts unite this October to advance cancer care.
Vygon’s VyvaExperts25 to spotlight innovation and best practice in vascular access.
Registration is now open for VyvaExperts25, an inaugural vascular access conference set to attract hundreds of healthcare professionals from across Europe and beyond. The event’s diverse international speaker line-up promises practical insight and cutting-edge clinical innovation.
Hosted by global medical device manufacturer Vygon, “Transforming Vascular Access in Oncology” is the central theme of the in-person and virtual event, taking place from Thursday 30 to Friday 31 October 2025 in Valencia, Spain. VyvaExperts25 builds on the momentum of Vygon’s highly successful knowledge-sharing events in neonatology and haemodynamics.
Developed in collaboration with SEINAV (Spanish Society of Infusion and Vascular Access), the conference will feature interactive sessions, live workshops and keynote talks covering the latest techniques, technologies and standards in oncology-related vascular access.
The agenda brings together an impressive mix of clinical voices, including:
- Dr Fulvio Pinelli, Anaesthesiologist and Director of the Vascular Access Unit at Careggi University Hospital in Florence. He will lead a practical session on PICC tunnelling techniques designed to reduce infection and improve patient comfort.
- Matthias Hellberg Näegele, Advanced Nurse Practitioner at HOCH Health Eastern Switzerland and co-chair of the nursing working group at the German Society of Haematology and Oncology (DGHO), who will share essential practices for cytotoxic drug delivery and healthcare worker protection.
- Christian Dupont, Coordinator Nurse, Cochin Hospital, Paris and a member of the GIFAV & Wocova scientific Committees, who will present best practices for implantable port care and maintenance.
- Camino del Río, a SEINAV board member and expert in IV therapy for oncology patients, who will open the conference with reflections on patient complexity and vascular access needs.
- Olatz Fernández, Specialist Nurse in VA and Parenteral Nutrition, will explore the evolving role of PICC-PORTs—hybrid vascular access devices that combine comfort, safety and clinical versatility.
- Laura Andújar, of the VVAA team at Torrecárdenas Hospital, will address the value of humanising care in oncology, highlighting the role of patient engagement and infusion nurses in shaping positive treatment experiences.
VyvaExperts25 will be simultaneously translated into English, French, and Spanish, ensuring accessibility for a broad international audience in real time.
Linda Kelly, Clinical Nurse Specialist at Vygon and part of the organising team, believes the event will deliver vital learning opportunities for oncology and infusion teams globally.
She explains:
“This conference isn’t just about techniques or devices—it’s about improving patient experiences in cancer care. With so many internationally respected contributors, we’re excited to provide a platform for collaboration, evidence-sharing, and progress in vascular access.”
